Thank you to everyone that joined DAIR & Centennial College to learn about Centennial’s application for a Technology Access Centre (TAC) in early 2023 titled Hangar of the Future, to catalyze the transformation of the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry.

The Hangar of the Future will leverage the state-of-the art facilities and equipment at the Downsview Aerospace Innovation & Research Centre (DAIR) hub to accelerate research in and the application of 6 specific pillars of technology within the aerospace sector.

DAIR and Centennial College presented the 6 pillars of technology Centennial College plan to address with their TAC application and what it means for the future of MRO and the Canadian aerospace sector. An overview of the existing state-of-the art facilities and collaboration opportunities at Centennial College’s Downsview Campus was also shared via a video.

The discussion following the presentation, led by Todd Young, President of Young Aerospace Group Ltd. (Former COO at De Havilland and Former VP at Bombardier) and Phil Arthurs, Director of Operations, DAIR, provided valuable information to support the TAC application.

Slides used during the presentation are available in a PDF format below to view, including the video (slide 14) shown during the live event.
