The session brought together members of our ecosystem and industry leaders to examine the latest updates surrounding the Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification (CPCSC) following recent announcements made by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).
The federal compliance landscape has shifted. With recent PSPC updates, CPCSC is now formally in effect, with clear timelines and defined requirements organizations are expected to follow. Anyone considering applying for Canadian defence contracts, either directly with the Government of Canada or as part of a defence supply chain, needs to be aware of the recent updates made to the CPCSC levels and timeline for Compliance.
THE CONVERSATION EXPLORED THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- Participants gained insight into the now-defined compliance timelines, the evolving assessment structure and the updated control framework that organizations must begin preparing for as Canada strengthens procurement security requirements across defence and federal supply chains.
- The discussion also highlighted the practical implications these changes may have on operational readiness, procurement eligibility and long-term competitiveness within the Canadian federal marketplace.
