Free, In-Person Event

Downsview Aerospace Innovation & Research (DAIR) brought together key industry players, SMEs and academics/researchers with interests in landing gear and associated technologies for a discussion on current challenges and collaborative opportunities to address them and future needs in Ontario.

This was the first event of this type to be held at the Landing Gear Innovation Lab, which opened in 2021. Event attendees had the opportunity to tour the Landing Gear Innovation Lab and discovered for themselves the equipment and opportunities to collaborate at the Centennial College lab at DAIR.

Additionally, the two panels and networking engaged all attendees to look at the current ecosystem of landing gear and associated technologies, as well as outline potential areas moving forward that industry and academia could collaborate on to further the already incredible work being done in Ontario.

Panel Participants:

  • Confirmed speakers to date include Collins Aerospace, SAFRAN Landing Systems, Centennial College, Toronto Metropolitan University, and McMaster University.

DAIR will be sharing outcomes from the discussions shortly, and will be connecting with the panelists, attendees and broader community to move forward on next steps. We are committee to continuing the dialogue and finding collaborative ways to support and grow the landing great sub-sector.
