Downsview Aerospace Innovation & Research (DAIR) and the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC) were excited to partner for this ½ day event that saw key industry leaders, innovators and academics come together to discuss the evolving landscape of the landing gear sub-sector, technological advances and how we can solidify and advance Ontario’s position in a rapidly changing environment.
Attendees heard from two panel sessions, with the first featuring Landing Gear industry panelists Nicholas Choo-Son (Héroux-Devtek), Ron Ganis (Collins Aerospace), and John Oh (Safran Landing Systems), moderated by Phil Arthurs (DAIR), and the second featuring SMEs and academic panelists Eric Blaise (Centennial College), Dave Farmery (VAC Aero), Larry Fitzgerald (RAMPF Composite Solutions), and Mike Muschta (Marsh Brothers), moderated by Alauddin Ahmed (ValueInfinity). Both sessions were followed by Q&A opportunities.
A special presentation was given by Guy Dulude from Siemens, on how digital innovation can transform design and manufacturing in aerospace, including landing gear.
